Ebony Komene and Coral Wiapo joined with Josephine Davis to present at the International Indigenous Research Conference 2024, hosted by Waipapa Taumata Rau, marking its first face-to-face gathering in six years. Centered on the theme Whītiki Taua: Research Solidarities, the weeklong event brought together Indigenous research scholars and collectives from around the globe. A highlight of the conference was Coral and Josephine’s presentations, showcasing their recent publications: The Opportunity of Struggle: A Case Study on Developing a Māori-Centric Nursing Course and An Integrative Review of Racism in Nursing to Inform Anti-Racist Nursing Praxis in Aotearoa New Zealand. This event centred the vital contributions of Māori nursing research and the power of Indigenous scholarship to shape transformative health futures.
